Tablets and descalers per cleaning cycle. The amount depends on usage intensity and whether you clean daily or multiple times per day.
- Preventive maintenance
Regular inspections, replacement of wear parts such as seals and filters. Prevents the majority of breakdowns.

Call-out costs, labour and parts for breakdowns. Highly dependent on unit, age and usage intensity.
- Energy and water

Is a maintenance contract required for the manufacturer warranty?

How often do I need to descale?
With a functioning water softener you do not need to descale yourself – the steam generator cleans itself automatically. Which cleaning agent should I use?
Rational specifies Active Clean (original tablets). Alternative agents can void the warranty and damage the steam generator.
