Questions about Rational cleaning products
Which cleaning products does my Rational need?
Active Clean tablets in three strengths: Light (green, daily light soiling), Medium (yellow, standard), Strong (red, heavy soiling). Plus Care tablets for descaling in hard-water areas. Only original Rational tablets are approved under the manufacturer warranty.
How many tablets do I use per year?
With daily Medium use: 250–365 tablets per year plus 50–100 Care tablets. If a water softener is working well, Care tablets are often not needed. Heavy grilling requires more Strong tablets.
Can I use other cleaning products?
No, this is not permitted under the manufacturer warranty. The oven recognises tablets and will not run the programme with the wrong product. Other products can damage seals, stainless steel and pumps.
